Tepuy is very fortunate to rely on three individuals that come from very different backgrounds, but share a number of common values that unites them in driving Tepuy.
Maria Alejandra Bravo
Born in Carúpano, Venezuela, María Alejandra Bravo graduated in Caracas at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1997 with a Bachelor Degree in International Studies, then continued his education and received her Master Degree in International Judicial and Political Law. Fluent in 2 languages (English, and Spanish). She became diplomatic officer of Venezuela in 2002, therefore her professional experience is focused on bilateral government relations, multilateral negotiations within international organizations, both political and commercial; international public law, public policies, project development, interagency relations, consular issues, and official protocol. As diplomatic officer, she worked in Houston as Vice-consul, then moved to Berlin-Germany as Head of Consular Section of Venezuela. She moved to Houston in 2013 where she is committed to preserve Venezuelan’s cultural roots within the fantastic multicultural population of Houston.
Bon in Venezuela, Yubi Escalona Business women and entrepreneur, graduated from Instituto Universitario de Seguros in Caracas Venezuela, with a vast experience in the insurance business industry. Came to USA in 2007 and reinvented herself becoming a Pro- Makeup Artist and a Personal Stylist, fluent in English and Spanish. With example of solidarity at home from her parents, Escalona is permanently looking to help people in need. Currently works as Sales Director and Product specialist in SHANY Cosmetics. Active volunteer in several NPO usually promoting union and preserving Venezuelan culture. Escalona is eager to stimulate the connection among Venezuelans in the Greatest Houston Area, and create the awareness about what the Venezuelan community is bringing positively to Houston.
Born in Valencia, Venezuela, Carlos Ruiz graduated from the University of Texas in 2015 with a major in biochemistry and then continued his education at the University of Houston where he currently pursues a juris doctor degree. Fluent in 2 languages (English and Spanish). While completing his studies, Carlos led the organization of a yearly conference that gathers Venezuelan students from all over the world to speak about the problems that Venezuela is facing with the help of experts in the different areas. Carlos then joined Tepuy Venezuelan Community, and has been able to extend his service by developing the membership infrastructure as well as other programs to the growing community of Venezuelans in Houston. He is eager to continue assisting, and representing the community in the city.
